If we don't design things that people love, items will be discarded, further exacerbating our waste problem. However, if we create beautiful items that move and inspire us, they will be treasured and preserved forever.
ECONYL® yarn is produced by rescuing waste including fishing nets, carpets, fabric scraps and industrial plastic. ECONYL® yarn performs exactly the same as virgin nylon. It can be recycled, recreated and remolded indefinitely. For every 10,000 tons of ECONYL® raw material, 70,000 barrels of crude oil are saved and 57,100 tons of CO2 equivalent emissions are saved.
Recycled PET bottles and other post consumer materials are used by using the latest technology. The process is called material recycled. This entails a collection of post-consumer waste, to be broken into pieces washed in different stages, shredded into flakes and melted and reformed into pallets this can then be formed into yarn.
Cruelty free alternative, without any toxic chemicals, phthalates and PVC. It is a highly sustainable plant-based leather made from plants. It is a by-product of the agriculture industry. No extra land, water or pesticides are required to produce this lightweight and durable material.There are 13 million tons of waste from pineapple agriculture every year.
